Really, I don't mind getting dirty and staying dirty. Who needs to shower every day anyway?? A shower can be overrated. That is, until the 7th day in a row of no showering. When one's stench makes one sick....Just imagine what it was doing to others. That is when checking myself into a 5 star hotel seemed like a grand idea! Water pressure, hot water and a bar of soap is all I needed, well, that and about 45 minutes to scrub off the grime and dirt. I gorged on delicious treats and laid by the pool and once again, spoiled myself! That seems to be the trend of my trip.
A few days later I booked a trip to a small island called Lamu. Looking forward to the white knuckle ride of the small jet and landing on a grass airstrip. If I make it alive I will enjoy 5 days of tanning, fishing, and snorkeling.
So far I have been safe and making decent decisions regarding my company. Everyone still loves to discuss American politics-Obama, Obama, Obama. This is not just coming from the Africans, it is everyone I meet from around the globe. All eyes are on us mates!

Sounds like you are having a ball....please keep the posts coming. Interesting to see the pace there is apparently as pressure packed as home. Yes, Obama is the man!! Great to hear he's already starting to repair our international reputation.

Sounds like you are having a great time. Enjoy every bit of it and keep the posts coming. You are a very descriptive writer which is fun to read. We are all good (Tommy was sick for a few days but is better now), Ruby is growing like a stink weed last week at the 2 mos visit she was 9 1/2 lbs and 22 inches long. Almost like a giant newborn. A couple wks ago she started smiling and cooing and blowing razzes and bubbles. We are having a great time. She went on her first hike a couple wks ago at Chantry Flats to the waterfall and back. She did great and was awake the entire time in the baby carrier. Hope to do some more of that. Tommy is on vacation from mid Sept for 17 days. We are going to idyllwild for a few days as he is doing a 24 hr mtn bike race and then we can hang out if the weather's good, and then maybe to sequoia to camp/hike as well. We're really proud of you! Sounds funny but true. Lions and tigers and bears...oh my. However, we're really worried about the tanning comment. BE CAREFUL!!! Can't wait to see the pictures.
